I didn't see any pastries when I was there....
Place is really good but when it comes to the fried sushi I'd prefer it hot not cold.
Price is not reflective of the quality of food. Good saké selection and lunch prices. Sushi is decent, but could be better. Lots of options for picky eaters.
Loved the food and they have some pretty decent pricing
This was our first time here. Sushi we had tasted delicious and staff was very nice.
Good for dine in
Very limited nigiri menu. Like 6 pieces. They dragon roll was...a dragon roll.Service was excellent, shout out to Gabriel, but I doubt I'll be back unless I need that sushi urge scratched and I've no where else to go.
BEST TERIYAKI IN TOWN!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SPICY CHICKEN!!! AAAAA++++++
Had the chicken teriyaki, the chicken was not tender and the rice was dry but the price was good.
One of those sushi on conveyor belt place. Plates are priced from $2.50 to $6 each. Regular 4 piece rolls are average $4.00. ended up ordering a meal instead. Since if you have a group things can quickly add up
Got a chicken bento. It was good.
Really disappointed by the food I got. I ordered my food via doordash, everything was good until I got my food. I didn't notice anything wrong with the sushi roll but let me tell you, the rise was overcooked because it stuck to the plate and let me tell you about the shrimp fried rice. It is a complete disappoint especially the shrimp and they put the salad together with the rice.
Barely any sushi on the conveyer belt in the afternoon when i arrived. Decided to order from the menu which are pricey. The rolls I order are decent. Not my to go spot for sushi. My fav sushi spot in Renton is Genki Sushi.
Food was average. Atmosphere was great.
Food was decent the price is about average for a Japanese resturant. People comment on prices they seemed about 12 dollars a plate. The only thing high was the appetizer which was 6 bucks.Ordered fried rice was a large size of fried rice for 9.99 it oddly had corn in the rice which you don't taste so seems like a waste of space in the rice
This place keeps going down hill. It started out as Japanese, then they started incorporating Korean food, then now the Korean menu is replaced with Chinese menu. Service remains consistently slow. The most egregious thing right now is what they called agedashi tofu. This is supposed to be soft tofu that's lightly breanded and fried, then eaten with a light sauce. They had always made this dish well. However, looks like things are changing and what they called agedashi tofu is just fried tofu (no light breading) eaten with a light soy sauce. Would not recommend.
The chicken teryaki lunch special really good. Food service is just the right oace with a warm, smiling waitperson. Great place for business lunch or lunch with friends.
awesome service and food. Yummy sushi on conveyor belt
What a downgrade. Not sure if there is new management or what happened, but we have gone faithfully for years and will not be back. The conveyor belt is gone, replaced with an expensive menu and small selection. Small sizes - we left hungry after ordering the lunch special that was mediocre and about half of what we'd usually eat for twice the price. Very slow service, despite being the only ones there. Employee cell phone use behind the bar. Very sad.
Amazing service and good food! Friendly staff and gave us a discount too! PS the waitress was super cute
Solid place. Came in just after opening. Service was ok, had to wait awhile for the check. Spider roll was delicious, but brittle.
We have been coming here for 10 years. This is our last visit !. They took out the high seating booths were you could watch the sushi go by. The menu has changed and then waitress told us she didnt have enough menus and we would have to share. Their are only 2 of us and 8 people in the restaurant... .
I loved this place when it first opened years ago. Uncertain if management has changed, but the service and atmosphere has truly changed. Their use to be a sushi conveyor belt, but now it's gone. In the past, I was able to select from a variety of sushi options. Now, I must order a full roll, with less than 10 options to choose from. No longer an active staff, bartender, or restaurant. Me and my husband went on a saturday night, and there was only one other table with customers. Most of the tables are now being used by the restaurant for supplies. My sushi had a lot of shrimp tails pieces in it. The sauce pans on the table were not clean. When I ordered a fountain beverage/ soft drink, it was served in a can for $2 dollars, and no refills. I give the restaurant a 2 stars, because the hostess was friendly, and my husband liked his meal. This restaurant no longer feels like a dine in eatery. It feels and now looks like a full take out restaurant.
Great place to enjoy good food. Yumm
Amazing food, has an escalator carrying dishes of Japanese food which you can pick up and enjoy ! they also have a wide variety of foods on there menu the Ramen was delicious - very calm and relaxing a place to just let your problems melt away !
Like other reviews mention, staff is nice but the prices are very noticeably high while the food doesn't meet high price expectations. Food was okay, but some stuff on the belt wasn't fresh at all so order somethings off the menu or ask. When finished, we eventually had to go to the front to ask for the bill to be created. The place and staff are good but the prices, service and food is lacking.
Great food, and good music. Love the friendly vibe and the staff here.
Very Incompetent server and wait staff. Not one employee looked like they knew how to do their job. Our server tried charging us for double what we ordered... and then argued with us about it.... hello proof of what we ordered was right on the table. Sushi was good. Wish the wait staff was on the same level. This book place is not recommended.
Went for lunch today & had the chicken ramen... my egg had bits of shell on it, the chicken was cheap and the dish itself was not good (had a funky smell as well). Waitress was nice and gave us 20% off, being that we barely ate our dishes. I tried to eat more of mine but got an upset stomach. Would not recommend the ramen.
I when today for a phone order when i arrive the guy who work there told me that he is gonna check if my order was ready after 15 minutes of waiting the lady came back and ask me too and said the same she is gonna check and she when straight to clean a table my food was there ready but they didn’t bother to check when i told them about it he was so mad telling me don’t complain and leave i just told him my food was sitting there since i arrived and you both guys didn't bother to check. Service is poor
I don’t know what has changed or if I just got lucky but the first few times I went here I was so impressed! The quality, selection and service were all on point but lately the belt has had no food on it and the food that is on it is a little questionable. I know you can order rolls from the menu but the point of going to Kaiten sushi is to have small plates! I wish it was how it used to be but we’ll be going elsewhere from now on.
Quite quiet in there...but it produces some pretty good meals. I walked in today and was feeling a little sickly, so I ordered an udon and spider roll togo. Without going into it, I wouldn't recommend the sushi. To be sure though, it wasn't bad, just not the best I had from their options. The udon was superb though. The broth is complex and deep, and it's delicious! Since I got togo, I also just have a ton of extra broth, which I'll most likely have with some rice and meat later. Noodles are soft, tempura was easy to reheat, and the packaging was clean and efficient. I will definitely return for some other menu items.
Great food and service is a bit limited on menu
Perfect lunch date spot for my kids and I. They enjoy sitting on the bar stools and choosing from the rolling sushi bar. Reasonably priced and delicious with fun names like mama's roll, ninja roll and Boeing roll. Good service as well. 😊
Excellent "melt in your mouth" sushi rollsGreat flavoursSashimi tasted super freshService was superb as well - super friendly
I can see why they have a two star rating. It's not totally horrible, but it's not good either. My fried rice had no taste until I poured teriyaki sauce on it. The shrimp were waaay overcooked and were chewy and a bit hard. My husbands sweet and sour chicken was super sweet with no sour, more like super sweet orange chicken. The wait staff was super nice and friendly. We won't be back again.
Its ok if you just need to eat something. If you are looking for more authentic food, this place ain't it. Its convenient for me since it's close to work but I've gone twice and I'm not a big fan
Food is good, but the table was sticky. Looks like they use the dining room as a stock room as well.
This place has gone down in quality, and service! While the prices have increased. The service is atrocious to the point where the waitress does not know what “hot sauce” is.
Fast and freindly service. The conveyer belt had plenty. Clean seating area and bathroom. Prices were good too. We took almost exclusively from the conveyer belt with the exception of the kids meal which was more than enough for my two kids. Drinks were kept full. The Mac & Jack's was cold and tasty.
Stopped in for a bite with a friend, and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the service and of the sushiService was both quick and polite, and the prices definitely are lower than other comparable sushi restaurants in the area. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, even despite the episode of Maury playing on the television. The selection of sushi available was definitely smaller than that of some other converyor-style restaurants, but that was not an issue as the quality of the fare more than made up for that, especially factoring in cost as well.I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and plan to return in the future (despite living five times closer to a Genki Sushi location).
Diverse menu, better pricing for the quality in my opinion than sushi land. Awesome atmosphere and full bar selection.
ugh. specifically went for yakitori (the chicken skewers in multiple photos). was told it was a seasonal item. I have NEVER heard of chicken being seasonal. sushi is overpriced, especially considering they don't even use sushi rice (it's short-grain rice without any rice vinegar). the pork cutlet was fried within an inch of its life. the air conditioning was on too high a setting, so we're freezing in there. and then the hot tea is barely lukewarm. please. shut this place down. it's terrible.
Their food used to be very good. Went in recently and ordered the chicken karaage, was served something that looked very much like McDonald's chicken nuggets. Sushi was poorly rolled and the booth was dirty. Wont be back.
Nice dine in service and tasty
Amazing food great service, a little on the pricier side. Service is fast, waitresses are very nice. Place is a little cluttered but has a small outside patio that is usually open for dinner. Great for social gatherings. Will definitely come back.
So good SUSHI !!
First thing I noticed is that the prices took me by surprise.. usually, the coloured plates vs prices are reversed. I think they did this deliberately. The staff are super attentive and nice, no issues there! As for the food, the sushi off the menu is REALLY good! The quality is for sure reflected in the price. The conveyor belt is not too bad, but I would order things like spring rolls etc (basically anything that's supposed to be warm) from the menu and NOT from the conveyor belt as these items tend to stay out when they really need to be served fresh. It's not the best sushi place around, and I honestly don't think the quality is reflected in the price for the conveyor belt sushi. But... It's not all that bad. If you're used to top-notch quality sushi, this probably isn't the place for you.
I went to this place with my friend hoping that we will be served fresh made sushi. I ordered California roll and spider roll. Made me feel weird afterwards. The server was nice, but was one person for the whole place. I had to wait a long time for her to bring the check and I had to go to the register to pay since she was too busy to come collect the card.I do not recommend this place, both because of the food quality and service.
Food is mmm mmm mmm
Waited over 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Another 20 minutes or so for the first plate to be delivered to our table and finally getting the last order to be received. All orders had an issue with the worst being the Karage chicken, looked like chicken nuggets and tasted like an upgrade, but no karage.
